KITS

At SeaBird Boats, we specialise in supplying wooden boats in kit form. As such, all SeaBird Boats shown on this site are available as kits, ready for home assembly and are designed with the amateur boat builder in mind. Most of our kits can be completed in 2-3 weekends and require only basic tools and skill levels.

The kits contain all the plywood and wooden parts to build the boat and all hull panels come accurately profiled to shape. Hardwood parts come machined to size and some kits have framed bulkheads, centre board casings and rudder stocks already assembled. All fastenings are included.

When you order a kit boat from SeaBird Boats, within 10-15 days, you will receive all the boat components, your choice of yacht enamel and primer, all epoxy resin required to complete the job and a comprehensive instruction manual to guide you through the complete process. As well as this, we will be on hand to answer any questions or queries you may have and offer you email and telephone support should you need it while building your boat project.

Our kits are designed to fit into a shallow 8ft x 2ft case, making shipping cost effective and simple.
